Who we are

Social Points Media builds and maintains websites for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect through socialpointsmedia.com and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you provide. We keep a record of the submission, including the time and the IP address it came from, so we can respond and so we can identify automated spam.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. That collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited and roughly where in the world visitors are. It does not identify you personally.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to provide services you ask us for, and to keep the website working and free of abuse. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it except with the service providers described below.

Who we share it with

Enquiry emails are delivered through Mailgun. Our website and data are hosted by Bluehost. Analytics are processed by Google. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for our business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you are a client and opt in to project updates and reminders by text, we collect your mobile number and a record of your consent (what you agreed to, when, and how). We use that information only to send the messages described in our SMS Terms: meeting and call reminders, requests to review or approve work, notices that a deliverable is ready, replies to your questions, and occasional service announcements. Message frequency varies with your project, typically up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and opt-in information are shared only with the messaging platform that delivers our texts (Texttive, operated by Social Points Media LLC, and its carrier partners) for the sole purpose of sending them. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP or emailing hello@socialpointsmedia.com.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for analytics, and to remember if you have dismissed an on-site notice so it is not shown repeatedly. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@socialpointsmedia.com and we will deal with it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
